Collection of various E-Mails that I have designed whilst at lastminute.com, internal and also external.

Another year and another Christmas Party at lastminute.com. The venue was at The Lodge in Victoria House and the theme was a ski lodge cabin with the rustic wood paneling and props such as the iconic moose/deer head.

Was really fun coming up with this design and I had full control and direction and the result was highly praised with great response on rsvp's through the email.

I had to come up with a suitable design which would draw attention and help promote this years Christmas Party.

The whole concept was glitz and glamour and drawing on colour schemes and branding from the actual bar/club to where the party is being held to tie theme together.

The client wanted a good base design for an online shop to help accompany their retail store.

Contracted for only 2 days a good structure was built whereby the client would have a good sense of direction with the build.

The client wanted to have an online presence for the start of their company.

Designed with a one page format as content was minimal but not sacrificing any vital information to start trading.

A logo was also designed with the intention to keep the brand clean and professional with great typography.

A concept idea for a new community portal for a prize draw website.

I was trying to envision how to capture and bring a community together and to keep them returning. This was accomplished with friendly and inviting graphics and colours.

This is a personal project of mine designing a custom theme on top of Wordpress brilliant CMS blog system.

Designing and coding from the ground up. Showcasing the best in Music, Fashion and Culture.

The design was given a small brief but in return a clean and clear identity was achieved detailing on what the company were trying to express to the potential users.

Two front-end landing pages as well as a potential backend control panel were designed.

When coming up with a concept I wanted to base the design off of my upcoming blog and items that were personal to me. This was obviously music in the form of vinyl, iPhone for gadgets and Original Nike Air Jordan 1 for Sneakers.

And to finalise it all off the main logo for EliteStyles.

This was just a personal project whilst messing around with different grudge effects and overlays to produce an advertising poster.

Who are you are where do you come from?

My name is Marek Holeszowski, my family originates from Poland but I was born and raised in the United Kingdom. I currently live in Chelmsford and I am 26 years old.

What is your background in design and the web?

Started in College around 2002 as a hobby then when it came time to decide what I wanted to do after I finished it was a no brainer that I would go on to do a (BA Hons) in Web Design.

I graduated in 2006 doing three years at Lincoln University (Hull School of Art and Design) and received a 2:1 Degree.

What are your strongest skills?

I would class myself more as a web designer. I would love to be able to design and also develop but I would not class myself as a strong programmer but that isn't to say that I haven't dabbled with different languages in the past.

I am more confident in making website look super sexy and very detailed and up to date with current trends and then coding up in XHTML/CSS making sure it's compliant in all major browsers. (Even Internet Explorer 6 though I class it as the devils child)

When your not working what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I listen to a lot music, there isn't a moment where i'm not listening to something every day. I've also taken up making music using Logic, started slow but getting the hang of it.

I enjoy watching a lot of movies and tv shows so i do consider myself to be a bit of a movie geek and keep up to date with all the latest releases.

Xbox has been on the rise recently playing online with games like Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, and at the moment Batman: Arkham City.

I also have an addiction to collecting sneakers. My collection mainly consists of Nike and Jordans.
